As a care assistant, you have an important societal role. At the Southern Archipelago's care and nursing home, 40 tenants live, half of whom have dementia. Those of us who work at the residence are assistants, care assistants, nursing assistants, an administrator, a care supervisor, and two unit managers. In your work, you start from the healthy aspects of the tenant and make use of the individual's resources. You motivate and stimulate the tenant based on their individual conditions in their own home, which is part of the care and nursing home.

Your tasks include everything from personal care, support during meals, encouragement and support in social activities, and collaboration with relatives. Some tasks you perform on behalf of licensed staff. You are also the contact person who helps the tenant articulate their needs and wishes. We prepare breakfast and snacks in the units, while the main course and dinner are delivered from our kitchen in Styrsö.

About You

We are looking for someone with education in care and nursing with at least 800 high school credits. We would prefer if you have previous experience in care and nursing work, but it is not a requirement.

In your role, you meet many people, which requires you to work together with others to achieve common goals. You are respectful, open, and positive in meetings with others, and you always have the tenants' best interests in focus. The workday can sometimes turn out differently than planned since you work with people; therefore, you maintain calm, balance different demands, and reprioritize your tasks.
